My device won't turn on

There can be a number of reasons a device will not power up, try the following if you are experiencing this problem:

  • Wrist mount obstruction (old silicone style mounts only)
    • A regular USB cable will not reach through the old style  bumper, if you do not have a 'long nose' USB cable - carefully remove the device from the wrist mount or bumper attachment and press the power button - if the device does not power up connect to a power source using a USB cable
  • If this does not work
    • Attempt a number of presses - holding for up to 10 seconds at a time (you should feel the button engage)
  • Try using a different USB cable - this is the most common cause
  • Try connecting to a different power source (preferably a wall socket) - some computer USB ports and power banks will not provide sufficient voltage to charge the device

Charging Troubleshooting

My device does not charge

If your device will not charge - 

  • Try removing the device from the mount and then attempting to charge again
  • Try a different USB cable
  • Try a different (stronger) power source
  • Visually check the USB port for obstructions (fluff, dirt etc.)

The device USB cable was redesigned after the first round of sales. The new cable has a slightly longer 'nose' than regular cables enabling charging while the device is in the (old silicone style) wrist mount/bumper case. Your device should still charge with a regular USB cable while not in the bumper case.

USB Cable Troubleshooting

My wrist mount prevents the USB cable from connecting

The latest Dekunu micro USB cable has a slightly longer 'nose' than regular cables enabling charging while the device is in the wrist mount/bumper case. If you have an old style silicone wrist mount and are attempting to charge using a non-Dekunu cable you will need to remove the device from the bumper. If you would like to purchase a new style wrist mount, make the purchase in our online store and add some order notes requesting a Dekunu USB cable, this will be supplied free of charge with your purchase.

Battery Troubleshooting

If you have tried all of the above troubleshooting tips and are still experiencing issues with your battery/power supply, disconnecting then reconnecting the battery could provide a resolution. Below is a link to an instructional video showing how to disassemble the device, disconnect and reconnect the battery and then reassemble the device. If you choose to attempt this please be very careful with the internal components and the protective rubber power button attached to the outer case. Leave the battery disconnected for at least 3 minutes before reconnecting and take care to align the LCD so that it is centred when snapping the case closed.
